Perch fishing is getting nothing but better! 34 to 41 feet from Vermilion to Rocky River have been great. Limits of 9plus fish are being taken daily. Walleye fishing has remained good around the Avon Point area. Spinners and Reef Runners are both working well. The Vermilion buoy is still the place to be for walleye. Running Reef Runners deep is top bet. Fish reports from the 30 to 40 feet are starting to come in as well. With the cool nights and salmon running, steelheaders are starting to break out there rods and starting to plan trips. It wont be long now .a few cool rains and it will be time to start looking. Long time Steelheader Ed Novak has just released a new book ,Meet Me At The Net, about steelhead alley. Its not a how to, but a book of tails and adventures that if you fished the alley you can relate to. Check it out.
